Happy new month dear reader, I want you to imagine walking into a room you were asked to go arrange and lying on the floor are unwashed plates close to the bed which is looking very rough with clothes scattered all over it. Even worse, turn to your right and there is a lot of water on the floor, it seems like someone forgot to turn off the shower.
At this point your brain is finding it a pain to process what your eyes are sending to it and you’re like “O God, this is too much”.
Believe me you will waste a good amount of time trying to process them all at once. But the moment you start tackling that challenge (the messed up room) not as an entity, but going after the pieces that makes it up one at a time in no time the room would be dirt-free. In other words with your mind you break the challenge into bits and then you focus on solving/dissolving each bits one after the other, doing this will get that job done in no time.
Matthew 6:22 calls “Focus” the singleness of your eye (sight, vision, mindset). You’re not being focus if your attention is doubled, tripled, quadrupled and so on. No multitasking if you want to be efficiently fast producing quality results.
Focus is indeed vital and powerful, and it always boils down to “doing things one at a time”. So change your approach, learn to break things down, and stop handling them as an entity. Try breaking four sticks together, and try breaking them one at a time, which is faster?
Remember “how well you focus on a goal is how fast you will melt the wall in front of it.”
Set your gaze on the achievement of those big things in your list one at a time and it won’t be long before the need to form another arise.
